Global Outreach is aCatholic organization supporting education for youth from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Hungary, and Ukraine. The program's motto comes from John Paul II: “Build the civilization of love.” The organization is based in Wisconsin, where most participants begin their year. Students have the opportunity to attend a U.S. high school for one year at no cost to themselves (the scholarship provided by the program is about $7,000–$12,000), and host families cover basic housing, meals, and transportation to school. Throughout the exchange, participants stay in regular contact with the organizers who provide spiritual support as needed. To date, more than 30 Nazaretanki students have benefited from the scholarship.
