Billing schedule and payment terms

Admissions
1. Initial Application. An initial application to The Institute of Education can be submitted directly by families or through overseas educational agents by completing the online application form. When applying, select the programme: a 1-year programme (6th Year), a 2-year programme (5th Year), or a 3-year programme (4th Year). The application must be accompanied by copies/scans of the student's passport, the last two formal school reports, and English language exams if applicable. 2. Interview. After the application is received and the student's reports are reviewed, if they meet the academic and English requirements, the student and their parent/guardian (and/or agent) will be invited to a Zoom interview with the International Admissions Officer. The interview covers the student's objectives, motivation and examination results to date, and provides guidance on the curriculum and the transition into the Irish system. 3. Confirmation. Following the interview, written confirmation of the outcome is issued. All students offered a place are asked to accept and secure their place by paying an initial deposit. 4. Induction. Once a place is confirmed, a dedicated international student support officer will work with the family to ensure the student is fully prepared to start at The Institute, with full details of the international student support available. Entry requirements include a minimum of six subjects graded at 70% or higher, English proficiency evidenced by a test such as IELTS (equivalents: 5.0 for 3-year, 5.5 for 2-year, 6.0 for 1-year). Applicants should also submit the English language exam with the application. Documents to accompany the Initial Application include the student's passport, the last two formal school reports, and any English language exam results.
